The Helichrysum for the skin: important for its lenitive epidermis properties as well as anti-oxidant. The anti-oxidant activity has been put in relation with the anti-ageing substances contained in the Helichrysum, in particular the polyfenoles and the flavonoids that exercise a protecting action against the cellular damages produced from strong oxidants which free radicals.
The essential oil exults an enigmatic and mysterious scent that recalls the sourness and the sweetness of the Corsican atmosphere present in the maquis.
From the point of view of the stimulus ability it slows down emotional stress giving a welcoming serenity.
